Putative toxic component of a toxin-immunity protein module, which may function as a cellular contact-dependent growth inhibition (CDI) system. Expression of the C-terminus (residues 1519-1658) in E.coli inhibits growth but does not alter nucleoid structure. Its effect is blocked by cognate immunity protein RhsIC.
