Function
Displays histone methyltransferase activity and monomethylates 'Lys-9' of histone H3 in vitro (PubMed:22939622). The physiological significance of this activity is unclear (Probable) (PubMed:22939622). Probable transcriptional regulator that acts via the formation of large multiprotein complexes that modify and/or remodel the chromatin. Acts as a regulator of histone acetylation during gene transcription (PubMed:27864380).
