Catalyzes the cleavage of methylmalonyl-[acp] (PubMed:12368286). It exhibits some acyl-group specificity, and catalyzes the cleavage of propionyl and butyryl derivatives faster than acetyl malonyl or methylmalonyl derivatives (PubMed:12368286).
