Description
Transpeptidase that recognizes and modifies its substrate by proteolytic cleavage of a sorting signal. Following cleavage, a covalent intermediate is formed via a thioester bond between the archaeosortase and its substrate, which is then transferred and covalently attached to the cell membrane.
