Description
Chemoreceptor involved in light-induced avoidance behavior (PubMed:25640076). Probably acts as a molecular sensor in I2 pharyngeal neurons, required for the inhibition of feeding in response to light and hydrogen peroxide (PubMed:25640076). Involved in circadian rhythms, probably by acting as a light sensor (PubMed:27849618). In contrast to lite-1, does not act as a photoreceptor (PubMed:27863243).
