Description
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. E3 ubiquitin ligases accept ubiquitin from an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme in the form of a thioester and then directly transfer the ubiquitin to targeted substrates. It probably triggers the ubiquitin-mediated degradation of different substrates (Probable). Mediates the proteasomal-dependent degradation of ATG6, a component of the autophagosome complex. Requires TRAF1A/MUSE14 and TRAF1B/MUSE13 to target ATG6 for ubiquitination and subsequent regulation of autophagosome assembly (PubMed:28351989).
