Involved in the regulation of spore formation. Directs the transcription of several genes that encode structural components of the protein coat that encases the mature spore (CotB, CotC, CotG, CotS, CotV, CotW, CotX, CotY and CotZ). Controls also the cgeAB and cgeCDE operons.
