Can hydroxylate syn-pimaradiene, ent-pimaradiene, ent-sandaracopimaradiene, ent-isokaurene, ent-kaurene, and ent-cassadiene, but no activity with syn-stemodene, syn-stemarene, syn-labdatriene, C11-alpha-hydroxy-ent-cassadiene or syn-pimadien-19-oic acid as substrates. Hydroxylates 3-alpha-hydroxy-ent-sandaracopimaradiene at C-7-beta, resulting in a 3-alpha,7-beta-diol corresponding to oryzalexins D.
